Young Women Activists are raising question to students.

In the morning of 11 January 2016, around 80 students gathered in one room at Jayavarman VII high School at Kean Svay district, Kandal province, to listen and get knowledge about “Concept of Gender and Domestic Violence in Cambodia” from Young Women Activists.

Young Women Activists widely known as “YWA”, a young women network which working on the elimination of violence against women and girls, and to promote women at sub-national level in Cambodia.

“This sharing class aimed to share knowledge of Gender and stop domestic violence, this activity is a part of one project in SILAKA named Women’s Voice Against Domestic Violence which called in short “WOV” that supported by Oxfam”, said by Ms. Roth, a member of YWA in Kandal province.

“This is a chance to learn how to manage and lead the event for sharing not only with students but they build their own capacity and well prepare for upcoming events” said by Ms. Sary Kong, a Program Manager of WOV.

The project named Women’s Voice Against Domestic Violence “WOV” are implementing in three provinces such as Kandal, Kratie and Kompong Chhang, starting from September 2015 to March 2016.
