One Billion Rising-Against Violence to promote self-value

In the occasion One Billion Rising 2016 campaign, Ms. Thida Khus sent a meaningful message to public through a video clip “We have to remember that working to end violence against women and children is to promote self-value.”

On 3rd Feb, 2016, Ms. Thida Khus, Executive Director of SILAKA and Chairperson of the Committee to Promote Women in Politics (CPWP) got video interview from Team One Billion Rising 2016 of Cambodia.

In the message she also emphasized that One Billion Rising campaign is an international campaign to mobilize people in each countries working on ending violence.

One Billion Rising is the biggest mass action to end violence against women in human history. This campaign always starts from every February to the 8th March, launched its campaign on Valentine’s Day 2012.

Hundreds of countries across the world and local communities take place to show the world what One Billion Rising looks like and shine a light on the rampant impunity and injustice that survivors of various form of violence face.
