The Social Accountability School (SAS) is in the component of training and capacity building of PECSA. It is a big operation of capacity building on social accountability in Cambodia mainly for civil society organizations. There are three social accountability schools – SAS1, SAS2 & SAS3 successfully organized. SAS1 took place on March 24-April 12, 2008 at the National Institution for Education with social accountability in the area of natural resources management as its theme. SAS2 focuses on social accountability in the context of good governance and democratic decentralization (DD) in Cambodia at World Vision headquarter on November 17-28, 2009. SAS3 was conducted on May 25-June 6, 2009 at the National Institute for Education. Its themes are roles of media in social accountability and good governance and democratic decentralization.
