The Committee to Promote Women in Politics of Cambodia which called in short as “CPWP”, collaboration with local and international organizations and youth networks will conduct the 105th International Women Day under the theme “ I vote for women in Commune and Sangkat election in 2017 for sustainable development” on 02 March, 2016 from 8:00AM to 17:00PM at Tonle Bassac II (Building No. 534, Preah Monivong Blvd).
Celebrating the event, the 105th International Women Day, aims to urge all political parties set out clear mechanisms in order to ensure the increase number of women candidates in commune and sangkat election in 2017 and to show citizens’ roles in supporting and promoting women candidates in the commune and sangkat election in 2017. Furthermore, this event will demonstrate about youth supporting to women capacity in the 21 century, through competitions in different topics.
Participants are invited from the National Assembly, Ministry of Women Affairs, political parties, the National Election Committee (NEC), Women and Men leaders from sub-national level, young women activist network from 10 provinces, Local and International organizations, donors and students from universities.
